Goose Pond Road
   Poor           Great

From Route 20, about 1 mile E of Mass Pike Lee interchange turn R on Forest Street, which becomes Goose Pond Road. About 3 miles from Route 20 you'll come to a T. Turn left, parking is about 1 mile, on the north side of the road, just East of where the trail crosses the road. IMPORTANT: Parking is NOT directly at the trail head. If you park there you may get towed! Parking is a few yards east, a gravel road on the left (north side of road) that opens into an area large enough for 10 cars or more. Please, when you come off the trail or before you go on, if you see some litter, pick it up and put it in your car for proper disposal. Neatness, especially cleaning up after non-hiker slobs, makes us look good. Thank you. 5/27/20 Many

From the exit road from the Masspike in Lee, go east on US 20. In 0.8 miles go right on Forest Street. The paved road has some twists and turns, but the route is obvious. At one point it bears sharply left while a dirt road goes right (the T mentioned above?). Somewhere along here the name changes to Goose Pond Road. Beyond this intersection Lower Goose Pond can be seen on the left. At an intersection 2.7 miles from US 20 continue straight ahead. The road becomes gravel here. The parking area is on the left in 0.7 miles. See attached map of next listing. The marker indicates the parking area. The AT crossing is just a short distance west of the parking area. 5/27/20 8-10

From the intersection of jerusalem Road and Main Road in Tyringham (See below), go northwest on Main Road (towards Lee). In 0.5 miles go right onto Webster Road. The trail crossing is 1.7 miles further (according to Google directions). . If driving from Tyringham, the northbound trail goes left (north) while the southbound goes right (south) at the crossing.Mile Marker 6.7, Webster Rd. From Rt 102 and Tyringham Rd, continue 3.6 miles and turn left onto Webster Rd. Continue on Webster Rd for 1.9 miles. Parking area is on left. I remember absolutely nothing about this crossing from the time I hiked this section. I beleive the road is gravel, but I know nothing about its condition. 5/27/20

Tyringham - Main Road
   Poor           Great

From the end of the exit road from Exit 2 of the Msss Pike in Lee, go left on US 20, then in a short distance, go right onto MA 102. Almost immediately take a left onto Tyringham Road. This road generally goes southeast. Once in Tyringham, the name changes to Main Road. The trail crossing is approximately 5.2 miles from MA 102. It is 0.9-1.0 miles south of 'downtown' Tyringham at the junction with Jerusalem Road. There is a small dirt parking area a short distance north of the trail crossing on the west side of the road (right if coming from Lee). The markers on the attached map indicate the approximate trail crossing. The northbound trail to Section 6 goes east (left if coming from Lee) and starts to ascend. The southbound trail to Section 7 goes west and descend into the wetlands on the valley floor. Stores, restaurants, motels and bus connections are 5 miles away in Lee..5/27/20 4-5 in lot
